This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI Polygraph.

Vantor is seeking a frontend-focused software developer with strong user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) skills to join our team. This role blends technical expertise in modern web development with an eye for design and usability. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces that make our applications easy and enjoyable to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Willing to work onsite in Reston, VA.
  • Develop, test, and maintain frontend features using modern web frameworks (e.g., React or Angular).
  • Translate wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into high-quality, responsive code.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences that meet mission requirements.
  • Advocate for UX best practices and ensure accessibility and usability across all platforms.
  • Own the design and usability of multiple applications and mentor junior developers.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
  • Contribute to design discussions, user testing, and iterative improvements of our products.
  • Stay current with frontend and design trends, tools, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3).
  • Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular or React).
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems, and accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) and experience taking designs from wireframes and mockups to working user interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with and presenting to users and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
