Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at our location in Sterling Heights. The Activities Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for our residents. This individual will work closely with the Activities Director to ensure that our residents have a fulfilling and engaging experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing a variety of recreational activities for residents
- Engage with residents and encourage participation in activities
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas
- Escort residents to and from activities
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with seniors or in a similar role preferred
- Must be available evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for working with seniors and providing a high level of customer service
