Tax Senior Associate - Public Accounting
We’re currently working with a respected mid-sized CPA firm that’s expanding its team and looking to add a Tax Senior Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional eager to grow their career within a supportive, learning-focused environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in their career - managing more complex client engagements, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the continued success of a reputable public accounting firm.
Tax Senior Associate Essential Functions:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Conduct research and provide tax planning strategies for clients across diverse industries.
- Assist Managers and Partners in complex tax projects and client communications.
- Mentor and train junior staff, providing feedback and technical guidance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and quality service
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
- CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with major tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH Axcess, ProSystem, etc.).
- Competitive base salary: $85K - $120K+, depending on experience.
- Performance-based bonuses and clear advancement path to Manager level.
