Role: CC&B Billing Consultant
Location: Remote

IN SCOPE:
The scope involves following key aspects, as well as the deliverables.
Following is the detailed scope of the services -

• Building or modifying SQL queries
• UAT testing and signoff
• Production deployment
• Fulfillment of Bill Reprint, Pocket Assignments, Bill Inserts and Mass Transactions

Overview
Requirements, expectations, and process for a contractor to manage Mass Transaction (MT) jobs feeding the CC&B billing system, ensure monthly bill inserts/messages, and maintain service levels. Covered technical depth (especially SQL), data quality checks, limited UAT (User Acceptance Testing), work hours, interview steps, current support model, and rate guidance.

Scope: Mass Transaction jobs and CC&B billing
MT jobs are manually triggered processes that take client-provided file inputs with defined parameters and load processed results into the CC&B billing system.
Clients often provide lists that require cleansing; multiple "empty jobs" exist and are run based on need.
High data accuracy is critical; once records are loaded, errors can cause business repercussions.

Required skills and responsibilities

• Operate and manage MT jobs end-to-end: validate inputs, run jobs, monitor outcomes, and handle errors.
• Perform data checks and cleansing to remove duplicates and bad data prior to loading.
• Be detail-oriented; communicate clearly with stakeholders; understand what success/failure looks like and appropriate follow-ups.
• Programming familiarity sufficient to read job code when needed, interpret error codes, and support troubleshooting (not heavy development work).
• SQL expectations and safeguards
• SQL skill level: medium but capable of complex queries (not a "guru" or DBA). Must competently use joins (inner, outer, left, right) and subqueries.
• All production queries require review before execution. Past incidents of poorly constructed queries slowed billing and impacted SLA (Service Level Agreement); strict caution is required.
• UAT testing clarification
• UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is minimal: small tests such as running one or two records to validate expected behavior before a full MT run.
• May also apply to bill insert/message checks; overall "nothing really complicated."
• Collaboration on monthly bill inserts/messages
• Recurring, standard monthly work with the bill print team to capture business needs and ensure correct implementation.
• Clearly articulate details of bill messages and inserts so they are loaded and printed correctly.
• Work hours and support model
