Requirements:
  • Active RN license in the practicing state.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Prior experience in perioperative or PACU nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures and patient care standards.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare orthopedic patients for surgery and ensure proper preoperative assessments.
  • Monitor patients in PACU after surgery, including vital signs, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Educate patients and families on postoperative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
  • Follow infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
