Description:
RN position available in MedSurg/Tele.
Work in a facility with 351 licensed beds.
This unit has 36 beds.
The average daily census is currently 33 patients.
Patient types include general Med/Surg and post-operative patients.
Common diagnoses include bariatric, hips, trauma surgical, and bucks traction.
Patient ratios are RN 1:6, LPN 1:6, and CNA 1:9-12.
General care of medical/surgical patients is required.
Support within the department includes CNAs and charge nurses.
Duties for CNAs include general ADLs, vital signs, ambulation/mobility, and assistance with feeding.
Phlebotomy skills are required.
The EMR system used is Encompass/EPIC.
The IV pump currently in use is Baxter, transitioning to Alaris in 2026.
Monitors utilized include Philips MX-40.
Routine lifting equipment, vital sign equipment, CBG machines, and wound vacs are part of unit-specific equipment.
Floating may occur to sister units with the same ratios and expectations.
Weekend rotations occur every other week.
Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.
Shift times are either 0700-1930 or 1900-0730.
Schedule cycles are every 6 weeks.
Scrub color required is royal blue.
Unit culture is described as good, with strong leadership and teamwork.
