About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Flexible within school hours
  • Hours: 8am to 3:30pm, students present from 8:30am to 1:30pm
  • Setting: School-based
Responsibilities:
  • Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team and coordinating health care services
  • Arranging and providing follow-up on medical services and referrals
  • Conducting staff training in personal hygiene, first aid, and infection control
  • Managing communicable diseases and ensuring infection control
  • Maintaining medical documentation and administering medications
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably with developmental disabilities
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Knowledge of Adaptive Equipment and Devices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with students and staff
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and analyze problems
  • Willingness to work at various program sites
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population
