Position Overview:

As a Class A Shuttle Operator, you'll be essential to the food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while fostering positive customer relationships. You will transport empty trailers to operating locations and deliver full trailers to designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre and post-trip safety inspections of your vehicle and trailer in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Report safety issues and ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Deliver trailers according to a predetermined schedule while communicating effectively with customers and team members.
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures following safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper loading and security of freight throughout transportation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of hours worked and comply with Federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Complete basic housekeeping tasks to keep equipment and loading areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with managing returned goods and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Take on additional duties as necessary to support the team's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last 3 years.
  • Availability for a 3rd shift schedule, typically Sunday - Thursday nights.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screenings and road tests.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
  • Capable of lifting and moving products weighing 60 to 90 pounds throughout the shift.
