Business Systems Analyst
Description:
As a Business Systems Analyst in IT/Digital, you are expected to perform requirements analysis and define the design and technical specifications to implement a software solution. You will also study the integration needs of that software solution with other solutions (COTS or bespoke) in the landscape to enable a fully integrated capability. You are expected to analyze the requirements, identify conflicting business requirements, come up with solutions that would be discussed to determine the way forward. To those requirements, you will define the technical requirements; the data layer design, integration requirements, and frontend design taking user experience as a key criterion in the design.
What will you do?
- Engage with the risk management lead and risk management champions to generate the business & technical requirements
- Detail requirements, and connect different requirements and their pre-requisites
- Keep your eye on the ball: focus on business goals and business outcomes to deliver continuous value to the users
- Engage with architects to define the solution design
- Define the roadmap of capabilities to be delivered within a 6-12 months duration
- Using Agile SCRUM or Kanban, write detailed user stories and use any tools to ensure developers have what they need to understand; process / decision flows, wire frames, etc.
- Lead conversation to ensure sound workflow definition, and cross-department coordination of needs throughout the workflow
- Test the system as it is being built
- 5+ years of experience as a business systems analyst in an agile organization
- Proficiency with SQL and database management
- Proven analytical abilities
- Proficient systems design and technical writing skills
- Experience producing process documentation
- Some experience with data visualization
- Excellent understanding of Agile processes
- Very good English language working knowledge
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Good coordination skills
- M.S. in computer science, information science, or closely related field is preferred
- Risk management knowledge would be an asset
- Preference to North America time zone; Europe time zone is acceptable.
- Working knowledge of low code platforms is an asset
