Role Overview

As an Oracle HCM Cloud Solution Architect, you will take on a vital role in defining the architecture, implementing, and providing ongoing support for Oracle HCM modules. You will collaborate with HR, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure that the platform effectively meets strategic business goals while adhering to healthcare regulations and California labor laws.

In this role, you will be the expert in Core HR, Absence Management, Benefits, Talent Management, and Payroll (optional), focusing on driving automation, seamless integrations, and adopting best practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Architectural

  • Lead the comprehensive design, configuration, and architecture of Oracle HCM Cloud across multiple modules.
  • Act as the techno-functional subject matter expert for Oracle HCM, ensuring system capabilities meet the diverse needs of the healthcare/dental industry.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to strategize and deliver scalable HR solutions aligned with business requirements.

Technical/Functional Implementation

  • Configure essential Oracle HCM modules: Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Learning, and Payroll (if applicable).
  • Convert business processes into clear system requirements and accurate Oracle HCM configurations.
  • Create functional specifications for integrations with payroll systems, third-party vendors, and benefit providers.

Support, Compliance & Optimization

  • Ensure adherence to California labor regulations, ACA mandates, and healthcare-specific policies.
  • Manage security roles, access permissions, and workflow approval processes.
  • Resolve system issues, lead enhancement initiatives, and facilitate end-user training for best utilization of the system.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Engage cross-functionally with HR, IT, Payroll, and Compliance teams to drive collective success.
  • Cultivate vendor relationships (such as Oracle support and third-party consultants).
  • Lead or assist in Oracle HCM upgrades, applying patches, and managing quarterly releases effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of experience working with Oracle HCM; including at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
  2. Proficient hands-on knowledge of Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Talent, and Payroll.
  3. Familiarity with California labor laws, HIPAA, ACA, and healthcare compliance standards.
