Summary:
The Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a crucial role responsible for administering anesthesia safely to patients in surgical and obstetrical settings. This position involves preparing and managing anesthesia agents under the supervision of a delegating physician, with overall accountability for anesthesia services resting with the Medical Director.

Job Requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing is required.
- 2 - 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- APRN License in state of employment is required.
- CRNA certification from NBCRNA is required.
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required.
Work Schedule:
5 Days - 8 Hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, including history and physical examinations, and review patient records for health status and diagnostic results.
- Make post-operative rounds and provide education to patients and families.
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as drawing blood, administering various types of anesthesia, and placing central venous lines and Swan Ganz lines.
- Administer regional anesthesia techniques including spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks as directed by the collaborating physician.
- Initiate and manage intravenous catheter placements and fluid/blood product administration.
- Utilize mechanical ventilation and resuscitation techniques when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Engage in continuous learning and adhere to all medication policies and practices.
