Music Faculty Office Assistant
Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse
The purpose of the position is to provide office assistance to generally to Music Department faculty and staff and specifically Dr. David Morrow, Chair and Director of the Glee Club.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clerical assistance (filing, copying, taking and delivering messages, errands)
- Help to manage appointment schedules
- Provide assistance in scheduling and executing rehearsals, performances and events in the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center through the Music Department supervised by Mr. Reginal Sargent
- Being able to discuss details with concert sponsors and their personnel.
- Assistance in managing and handling the logistics of the faculty and student office spaces

General Qualifications
- Sophomore, junior or senior
- Speak well and write well
- Must be dependable, efficient and organized
- Must be self motivated
- General knowledge of music
- Needs to know Microsoft Office Suite
- Needs to understand office, phone, and email etiquette
- Needs experience with Music score writing programs (ex. Finale)
- Some knowledge of Music recording programs.
