Job Description
Job Title: Neuro Radiology Technologist

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required

Must-Have:
- Neuro experience
- Proficient in the use of all equipment specific to examinations performed
- Competent in patient care and monitoring equipment
- Familiar with health systems telephone and paging systems, computer systems, and imaging software

Description:
The Neuro Radiology Technologist will support the expanding technology needs of complex Neuro Endovascular cases in the operating room.
This clinical and technical position will involve hands-on work with multiple imaging and navigation systems used to guide proceduralists and surgeons during intricate head and spinal procedures.
The technologist will assess technology needs for the day based on scheduled procedures and ensure equipment readiness.
They will proactively manage schedules and identify needs and conflicts related to technology.
The technologist will assist physicians and provide support in a variety of brain and spine interventional cases.
Some of these cases include mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, brain aneurysm treatment, AVM/AVF treatment, and vertebral augmentation for compression fractures.
The technologist should be capable of scrubbing and circulating in the room, knowing how to prepare neurovascular and spine devices, and manipulate imaging systems.
They should be proficient in scheduling cases using the relevant software, understand billing and CPT codes, and utilize contrast power injectors.
Pre-procedure activities will include discussing cases with attending physicians, pulling relevant products and devices, and setting up a sterile field.
During procedures, the technologist will be responsible for addressing any imaging-related issues and maintaining sterility while circulating for scrubbing personnel.
Post-procedurally, the technologist should ensure all relevant images are transmitted to the appropriate storage system, maintain equipment, perform post-processing, and complete all required case documentation.
