Material Handler - 2nd/3rd Shift (Direct Hire)

Position Summary This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a leading steel company As a Material Handler, you'll play a key role in the warehouse by accurately pulling, preparing, and packing large steel orders. We're looking for reliable, team-oriented individuals who can meet technical demands while fitting in with a great group of people.

  • Training starts on 1st shift for up to one month.
  • Once fully trained and ready, you'll move to your permanent 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
Job Duties
  • Pull large orders of steel rods based on customer specs (finish, length, thickness, etc.)
  • Safely operate equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, metal saws, shears, and lasers
  • Fill, prepare, and stage material orders for shipment to customers
Qualifications
  • Solid math skills, especially with fractions
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools accurately
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills (or willingness to develop them)
