Position Summary
The Pelvic MRI Radiologist is responsible for the interpretation of pelvic MRI studies and other assigned imaging exams, providing accurate, timely, and clinically relevant diagnostic reports. This role requires a high degree of subspecialty expertise, professional judgment, and collaboration with referring providers to support quality patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and generate final reports for pelvic MRI exams, including gynecologic, urologic, and oncologic cases.
- Perform interpretations of additional body MRI and general diagnostic imaging, as assigned.
- Communicate results and consult with referring physicians and healthcare providers as appropriate.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to SimonMed Imaging standards and protocols.
- Support a collaborative team environment with colleagues and staff.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legal, and accreditation requirements.
Education and Certification:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship training in Body Imaging, Women's Imaging, or Pelvic MRI preferred.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in state of practice (or eligibility to obtain).
- Demonstrated expertise in pelvic MRI interpretation.
- Experience in general body MRI and diagnostic radiology preferred.
- Minimum of one year post-fellowship clinical experience (preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
