Position Overview: Join us as a Mechanical Design Engineer focusing on HVAC design. You will leverage your expertise across various sectors including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Our mechanical engineers are instrumental in advancing our refrigeration design services while collaborating with our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver unparalleled client experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute calculations and designs for engineering systems independently.
- Create detailed mechanical system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
- Review shop drawings for alignment with plans and specifications.
- Conduct research and assess the feasibility of systems or equipment; evaluate product applications.
- Support business development by building relationships with strategic partners and clients.
- Seek continuous learning opportunities and enhance proficiency in industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
- Assist in project coordination by managing communications, scopes, schedules, and client interactions.
- Offer training and support for colleagues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Mid Level:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, or Architectural Engineering preferred, with 3 years of relevant experience (5 years without a degree). A Professional Engineering (PE) license may count as 1 year of experience.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., IESVE, Trane Trace).
Experienced Level:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, or Architectural Engineering preferred, with 7 years of relevant experience (9 years without a degree). A Professional Engineering (PE) license may count as 1 year of experience.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Completion of FE exam, and/or LEED and WELL accreditation.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering design, industry codes, and standards applicable across diverse projects.
