This position will work under the direction of a unit supervisor in the Bureau of Information Technology Services. The position will be located at the offices of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Hill Farms State Office Building, Madison, WI. This position will provide systems and application support of the web infrastructure and cloud services at DOT. Support tasks for existing web infrastructure, systems, and applications issues include the following:
• Provide design, development or technical support for WebSphere and IIS application platforms
• Provide design, development of automated application deployments and staging in web environments
• Provide day to day operational support - resolve problem tickets, abends, application scheduling issues and questions associated with DOT web infrastructure and application support
• Independently or with BITS or business unit staff - address prioritized project implementation efforts.
• The candidates must have skills and experience in the following:
• WebShere - 5+ years
• System administration - 5+ years
• Application troubleshooting and performance tuning - 5+ years
• Application staging - 5+ years
• IIS - Installation, configuration, troubleshooting for applications - 3+ years
• NAM (Novell Access Manager) advising on configuration changes - 2+ years
• F5/VIP - Architecting, configuration, and testing - 3+ years
• eDIR (eDirectory) - configuration, troubleshooting, and changes - 3+ years
• Application debugging - working with developers to debug application changes - 3+ years
• Supporting web-based development using: Java, Javascript, Websphere, IIS, Nexus, Maven, Jenkins, and container platforms
• Business Analysis
• Web Server applications delivery, deployment, automation, and load testing
