Mechanical Construction Engineer

We are seeking multiple candidates with a strong HVAC background, ideally with experience as Application Engineers or Project Engineers, to collaborate directly with our Sales and Estimating teams. This is a highly technical role that requires excellent communication skills, as you will work directly with customers. Please note, this position does not involve design work.
Responsibilities:- Review bidding documents, including mechanical plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Handle HVAC equipment selection, pricing, technical proposal writing, and develop cost analysis spreadsheets for bidding.
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and mechanical contractors for clarifications needed by sales engineers, application engineers, and project administrators.
- Gain or possess experience in the HVAC industry related to estimating.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, air distribution products, and temperature control is preferred.
- Prepare proposals and pricing breakdowns, evaluating equipment savings and costs.
- Assemble bid files, including all development information, within the customer relationship management (CRM) system to prepare estimates.
- Responsible for cost estimation of HVAC or air distribution equipment and systems for assigned bid opportunities.
