Quality Technician | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grandville that are seeking skilled Quality Technicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records, including non-conformance reports.
  • Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action processes.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the calibration program for measurement and test equipment, ensuring accuracy and validity.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles and practices (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience performing visual, in-process, and final product inspections and tests.
  • Strong basic math skills and ability to accurately collect, record, and analyze data.
Bonus Qualifications
  • ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQIA)
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation
