Your Impact: In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Operating Room, where your skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations will make a meaningful difference in patient care.

Schedule Details: This is a full-time position with evening shifts, working 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including on-call responsibilities (primarily overnight with minimal weekend commitment). We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus with distance-based relocation support and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for evening shifts.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surgical environment by maintaining a clean and safe area and using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist with the preparation and draping of surgical areas, ensuring a sterile field, and anticipate the Surgeons' needs.
  • Set up the operating room by arranging equipment and supplies for various procedures.
  • Assist as a Second Assistant when required and notify staff regarding supply or equipment issues.
  • Transport patients and manage specialty carts, checking their completeness and proper functioning.
  • Provide patient care appropriate to the age and needs of the patients served.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association within six months.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Skills: Understanding of aseptic techniques, excellent interpersonal abilities, and basic computer proficiency.
  • Physical capabilities must include the ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment safely while adhering to proper techniques.

Working Conditions: This position requires operating in a fast-paced surgical environment, with exposure to potential hazards typical of surgical areas. Safety protocols and personal protective equipment usage are mandatory.
