Our client is a Kansas City-based General Contractor with multiple multi-family and commercial projects in the Kansas City Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a nice back log of projects going in to 2026 and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Estimator to their team.
Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure alignment on project scopes and budgets.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to improve estimation accuracy.

The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience estimating commercial and/or multifamily projects
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Ground up project knowledge and experience preferred
- Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Sage, MS Project
- Quantity take-off and cost estimate experience
- Competitive base salary ($90-130k) depending on experience
