Job Summary and Qualifications The CT Imaging Technologist will be responsible for performing CT procedures with a focus on patient safety and minimal radiation exposure. Duties include operating equipment, managing digital images, preparing examination rooms, and interpreting requirements for patients of all ages. You will also care for existing intravenous access and may administer specific medications under a physician's direction.- Conduct diagnostic procedures while adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring high image quality.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all CT scanning procedures, technical operations, and equipment usage.
- Secure patient consent for procedures, and gather necessary medical histories before examinations.
- Document all procedures and STAT reads as per departmental guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and inventory in the lab, following proper disinfection protocols and restocking supplies.
- Adhere to ACR QC requirements and internal policies.
Education: You must meet ONE of the following criteria:
A. Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
B. Associate's degree or higher
Experience: No prior experience required; however, ongoing training is provided.
Preferred: Two years' experience as a CT Technologist, Associate Degree in Radiology Technology.
Licenses: Required - CMRT certification by the Texas Medical Board; Preferred - ARRT registry in CT.
