THE OPPORTUNITY

Have a passion for entertaining, event planning, and engaging people in conversation? Join us as a Seasonal Social Host for our W.I.L.D. Love(TM) Adventure Ministry - a wellness program pairing hiking and green exercise with self-love principles. You will help end each hiking adventure with a group social in Austin, TX, and nearby areas.

SOCIAL HOST RESPONSIBILITIES

Hikes are followed by a social at a restaurant or picnic in the park. The Social Host responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Hike Coordinator to understand scheduling and location needs.
  • Plan the social, meet the hiking group at the location, and facilitate the social experience.
  • Coordinate information about the social with the Hike Planner, Hike Group Leader, and Photographer.
  • For large groups, the host must contact the restaurant so they are aware the group is coming.
  • Ensure set up/clean-up of food/paper products at the social site.
  • May also participate in the hike, but not required.
  • Ensure that emergency procedures are followed in cases of an emergency.
  • Have fun

  • An ability to communicate in an efficient and professional manner with colleagues
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Complete Leave No Trace training prior to start (provided)
  • Complete Food Safety training prior to start (provided)
  • Calm under pressure
  • Share the same work/moral ethics as King Global Ministries
