We are headquartered in Minnesota, with branch offices in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

We are actively hiring for a Professional Engineer specializing in subsurface utility engineering (SUE) to support our plan and profile operations. A Colorado Professional Engineer License is required. This position will be based out of our Commerce City, Colorado office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A clear understanding of ASCE 38 standards
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and identifies project goals, timeliness, and resource requirements for SUE operations
  • Oversee the maintenance of SUE project logs and documentation files
  • Provide technical direction to all field locator staff, responsible for creation and implementation of all SUE procedures
  • Provides project management services and coordinates the bid process for specific projects as assigned
  • Responsible for all facets of SUE operations, attend meetings, provide written or oral reports on progress and be the main SUE resource
  • Perform other related duties as required
Job Requirements:
  • PE License in Colorado
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of tangible experience in utility construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experienced with ASCE standard governance of Subsurface Utility Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
