Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to enhance our healthcare team. With 23 locations in Arkansas, Baptist Health Urgent Care, an affiliate of Urgent Team, aims to provide quality and affordable family healthcare across the Southeast.

About Our Centers:
Our convenient, walk-in centers offer a wide range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week: Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. All centers proudly hold the Accredited Care Center designation from the Urgent Care Association, reflecting our commitment to safety and quality in patient care.

Job Summary:
As a PRN LPN, you will play a pivotal role in patient care by greeting patients, activating files, and supporting medical staff. This position allows for flexible scheduling based on the needs of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the role but are not exhaustive:

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
  • Record health histories, noting any abnormal conditions for physicians.
  • Instruct patients on how to collect necessary samples and tests.
  • Obtain vital signs and escort patients to treatment rooms.
  • Assist with preparing supplies and equipment during patient care.
  • Administer prescribed medications and observe patient's reactions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and records.
  • Schedule tests and treatments as directed.
  • Notify patients of results and follow-up appointments.
  • Ensure cleanliness and restocking of treatment rooms.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and waste disposal guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
  • Contact pharmacies for prescription orders as needed.
  • Manage inventory of medications and supplies, including controlled substances.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and triage calls to appropriate staff members.

What We’re Looking For:
A degree from an accredited practical nursing school and a valid LPN license in accordance with state regulations are required. While a minimum of two years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in our supportive environment.
