Key Responsibilities:

  • Support certified nursing assistants and staff by performing assigned duties and tasks.
  • Assist residents with meal delivery, including food and fluid transport.
  • Ensure dining areas are clean and properly organized for mealtimes by setting up and cleaning plates, utensils, and napkins.
  • Carry out housekeeping tasks in resident rooms while CNAs provide care.
  • Clean and maintain dentures.
  • Maintain a list of residents needing fingernail and toenail care.
  • Check call lights for operational status and notify supervisors of any issues.
  • Inspect privacy curtains for cleanliness and change them as needed.
  • Assist residents' visitors under supervision.
  • Help residents with electronic devices including tablets, phones, computers, and televisions.
  • Manage laundry duties by taking dirty linens and trash to the laundry and retrieving clean items as necessary.
  • Clean medical equipment and utility rooms when not in use.
  • Provide companionship through activities such as reading or playing games as requested by residents.
  • Support safe transport of residents to activities after certified staff assist with wheelchair transfers.
  • Deliver mail and post activity calendars in residents' rooms as directed.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing staff and supervisors.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred
