Overview
Compensation includes Base Salary and Quality Bonus totaling over $300k, plus a $50k Retention Bonus.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with no weekend or evening shifts. As a Physician Leader, you will oversee a team of 4-5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), dividing your time between administrative duties and hands-on patient care for a panel of approximately 140 patients.

Key Responsibilities:
The Physician Leader will be responsible for the clinical performance of the clinical pod team members. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate diagnosis and documentation, enhancing quality and patient experience, maintaining affordability, ensuring patient safety, cultivating clinical team dynamics, and boosting provider productivity. This role involves fostering collaborative relationships among all clinical team members while acting as the collaborating physician for associated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). You will partner closely with the Market Manager and market office staff.
Primary Duties:
- Supervise APPs and other physicians within the pod, ensuring compliance with collaborative practice agreements as per state regulations.
- Participate in at least one ride-along with each collaborative APP quarterly.
- Conduct complex patient visits when necessary under APP supervision.
- Collaborate with clinical team members, including Community Health Workers, Medical Social Workers, Nurse Navigators, and Care Managers.
- Engage in the clinical development of APPs, emphasizing evidence-based care and professionalism.
- Lead high-risk huddles and ensure comprehensive documentation of care plans.
- Promote a team-based culture and cooperation among clinical team members.
- Conduct monthly chart audits (minimum of 10 or as required by state regulations).
- Serve as a resource for clinical team inquiries and assist in managing challenging patient conversations.
- Review clinician capacity and productivity, working with Site Medical Directors to address any performance issues.
- Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director (RMD) to identify care improvement opportunities.
- Assist with patient complaint resolutions as needed.
- Support provider EMR efficiency and engage in patient care management for high-risk or complex patients.
- Lead educational sessions on chronic condition management, documentation accuracy, and related topics.
- Participate in compliance and HR matters, including performance reviews of direct reports.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Regional Medical Director pertaining to clinical performance and outcomes.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree
- Current, valid driver's license and good driving record
- Active CPR Certification
- Valid Medical License
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- One year of experience with HarmonyCares Medical Group
- Board Certification
