Job Description Summary
Join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist II, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality laboratory testing in a dynamic clinical environment. You will prepare specimens for testing, conduct routine laboratory tests, and perform quality control and maintenance procedures. You will also troubleshoot laboratory instruments and communicate essential technical information to both medical and non-medical personnel. Your expertise will assist in training laboratory staff and ensuring that you stay engaged in continuous education to recognize normal and abnormal lab values.

Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Prepare specimens for testing and conduct routine laboratory tests.
- Perform quality control and maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and assist with data issues.
- Provide technical information to medical staff and laypersons.
- Assist in the training of laboratory personnel and participate in ongoing education.
- Recognize and assess normal and abnormal lab values.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a relevant scientific discipline is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is essential.
Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent, or relevant categorical certification is required. Note: This is a Career Ladder Position. Internal candidates must meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements. External candidates are expected to complete these requirements within 90 days of assuming the position.
