About the Role

The Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing in-person clinical services to adolescents in our Residential Treatment Center and to children and adolescents in our clinic site supporting children in foster care.

What You'll Do
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and crisis management.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other psychiatrists, as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate services with other members of the multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide appropriate and timely documentation of all clinical services delivered.
  • Actively work towards reducing polypharmacy and use least restrictive medication regimens.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
  • MD or Psychiatric NP degree in good standing and relevant experience.
  • Experience working as a Medicaid provider
  • Bilingual/Spanish a plus.
  • Computer proficiency, excellent writing skills. Experience with documentation in an electronic record a plus.

Work Environment:

This position will be in person out of two different locations (Yonkers and the Bronx).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a per diem position, 16-20 hours/week. After school/evening hours required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY).
  • Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
