Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble vehicles to assist Collision Estimators in evaluating damage for a thorough Repair Plan.
  • Identify all necessary repairs to minimize supplements and ensure efficient repair timelines.
  • Follow work orders for all operations and plan work procedures effectively.
  • Remove upholstery and parts as required to access damaged areas, ensuring careful storage to prevent damage.
  • Repair body damage through methods such as hammering, filling, and welding; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools including welders and spray guns.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding as needed.
  • Replace or repair defective parts as required.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all Classic Collision operating procedures, safety regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • I-CAR / ASE certifications are preferred.
  • 2-3 years of collision repair experience is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must have a customer-focused approach and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and information.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

This role involves regular use of hands, as well as frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Employees may occasionally need to lift objects up to 20 pounds and perform tasks that require close vision and focus.
