Main Responsibilities:
- Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safety practices and processes and consistently acting in a safe manner.
- Safely move company equipment within the yard as required.
- Assist drivers with addressing any vehicle-related issues they may encounter.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
- Complete daily checklists as needed.
- Ensure equipment is properly parked and secured, following facility permit and DOT regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility through housekeeping tasks.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management based on the needs of Clean Harbors.
What do you need to work with Clean Harbors?
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- At least 1 year of DOT inspection experience is required.
- Must provide own basic tools.
- Related mechanical certifications are preferred, but not mandatory.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and a physical examination upon hire.
