Position Summary:

This person will work to ensure that our guests receive the highest quality food items in a timely, easy and pleasant manner. This role supports the Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go Unit Manager and other team members in the location (both Store personnel and Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go personnel) delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience and a working environment that promotes engagement and living the Company values.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
  2. Manage food safety, stock levels, costs, preparation, and presentation and sales goals for all prepared food and beverage items.
  3. Ensure that the recipes and food prep procedures are followed correctly. That food is wrapped and labeled correctly. That Daily Production Charts are up-to-date and accurate.
  4. Oversee the Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go food service area, ensuring that the presentation and work areas are kept sparkling clean, maintain company standards, adhering to standard food safety preparation and sanitization protocols, and maintenance of equipment.
  5. Provide training, feedback, coaching and direction to fellow team members on the Food to GO food preparation, presentation and safety requirements. And maintain relationship with third party vendor (Steritech).
  6. Effectively operate the register, processing sales transactions in an efficient and friendly manner to minimize guest wait time.
  7. Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store (inside and out), working alongside the Cumberland Farms team members ensuring that the coffee station is clean and stocked; the food service area is spotless and the bathrooms are sparkling clean.
  8. Monitor product levels on the sales floor, including coolers and hot food cases, rotating stock and keeping product levels full so that we are prepared to achieve daily and weekly food prep goals.
  9. In Store Manager's absence, complete Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go Manager's reports and banking as needed.
  10. Lead by example in execution of Company values, programs, processes and policies.
  11. Maintain relationship with third party vendor (Steritech) - monitoring and training on proper temperatures, holding times and waste processes (recordkeeping).
  12. Maintain proper stock levels (ordering) and proper rotation of all food product in Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go food cases to ensure that we are 100% in-stock and our guests have the selection they want
  13. Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Unit Manager.

Working Relationships: Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go and CF Store team members, CF Store Manager, Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go Unit Manager, VP of Culinary and Food Service, District Manager, Company personnel, and various vendors.

Requirements:
Minimum Education: N/A

Preferred Education: High School or GED

Minimum Experience: 6 months retail or food experience

Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, service or restaurant environment

Licenses/Certifications: Serv Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory

Soft Skills: • Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members • High energy • Ability to move from one activity to another quickly • Team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others

Other:

Scheduling: This position is both part time (up to 29 hrs) and full-time (32-40 hrs) and involves working a variety of hours, day and night, as Cumberland Farms can be open 24 hours depending on the store. Weekend & Holiday hours are required.

Travel: 0%

Hours & Conditions: Full time - 40 regular hours (maximum) Other Specialized work attire requirements (hats or visors, gloves, etc. - provided)

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; ability to lift 40 lbs, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip and work in freezer and cooler (cold temperatures).
