Job Overview

Twehous Excavating Company Inc is looking to hire skilled and motivated Rock Drill Operators to support drilling and blasting operations across active construction and quarry sites. This is a physically demanding and safety-critical position that offers year-round, full-time work and significant opportunities for advancement into blasting roles. We welcome experienced operators and will train candidates with the right aptitude and work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic rock drills safely and efficiently on construction and quarry sites.
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on drill rigs and associated equipment.
Report major mechanical issues to company maintenance staff.
Log drill activities, complete workplace exam paperwork, and ensure proper documentation.
Read and apply grade and drilling patterns from design plans.
Assist with blasting preparation and cleanup.
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements.
Support other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
2+ years of equipment operating experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates.
Ability to understand and interpret site plans and layouts.
General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction tools.
Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Schedule
Full-Time: Monday - Friday
Overtime and weekend work may be required
