Role Description:
Are you passionate about full-stack development and modern cloud technologies? As a Software Engineer II at Safety National, you'll play a critical role in building scalable, high-quality enterprise applications that power our strategic transformation initiatives. You'll collaborate with senior engineers, product owners, and architects to design, develop, and deploy applications using .NET Core, React, and Microsoft Azure.
From developing and maintaining applications to contributing to architectural decisions and participating in code reviews, you'll be hands-on in creating solutions that directly impact our modernization journey. You'll also work across functional teams-QA, DevOps, and product management-to ensure timely delivery and deployment using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
- 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core / C# and React.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services (e.g., App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage, Cosmos DB).
- Understanding of relational databases and exposure to NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools.
- Interest in continuous learning and growing technical skills under mentorship of senior engineers.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $97,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
