Physical Therapist I

Job Description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual, to join the energetic and innovative team of healthcare professionals in their Atlantic Visiting Nurse Division as a Part Time Physical Therapist in Essex County. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients in the patient's home and be a part of a collaborative team of health providers. Schedule is flexible between Monday through Friday and 8-4pm daily. Also, weekend rotation every 4 to 6 weeks.

Atlantic Visiting Nurse provides personalized care for you or a loved one to regain health, stay out of the hospital, and remain living independently at home. Whether or not it is managing life with a chronic illness, living with a disability, returning home from the hospital or rehabilitation facility, or need assistance with end-of-life care, we are available to you in six counties throughout New Jersey: Morris, Somerset, Essex, Sussex, Union, and Warren.

Qualifications

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients in their homes

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, required
• Master or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred

Experience:

• 1 year of experience in homecare, strongly preferred

License/Certification:

• NJ License in Physical Therapy, required
• BLS, preferred

Atlantic Rehabilitation offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology, wound care management and more. All of which are provided by a highly trained staff comprised of physiatrists; internists; physician assistants; nurse practitioners; rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and recreational therapists; speech-language pathologists; social workers; psychologists; vocational rehabilitation counselors; dieticians; audiologists; and care managers.
