- Pay Rate: $50 - $53/hr
- Shift: 4×10 (06:30-17:00)
- Weekend / On-Call: 1 call shift per week + one weekend per month
- Local Restrictions: Must live more than 75 miles away
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
The Cardiovascular OR Technician / Surgical Technician supports a busy operating room environment providing assistance during elective and emergency surgeries for adult and pediatric patients. This role requires strong technical skills in sterile technique, OR workflow, and cardiovascular surgical support. The technician plays a key role in instrument preparation, room setup, maintaining safe surgical environments, and supporting surgeons and nursing teams during complex procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiovascular, pediatric, trauma, and specialty surgical procedures in a high-volume OR environment.
- Prepare OR suites, instruments, and equipment according to surgical specifications.
- Maintain strict sterile technique and enforce infection control standards.
- Support surgeons and nursing staff through anticipation of procedural needs and safe instrument handling.
- Assist with emergency and elective procedures, ensuring readiness for rapid case turnover.
- Operate within a surgical department containing 23 ORs and 1 procedure room.
- Support both adult and pediatric patient populations across varied service types.
- Participate in call rotations including weekly call coverage and one weekend per month.
- Experience as a Surgical Technician or Cardiovascular OR Technician.
- Operating room clinical experience required.
- Experience supporting adult and pediatric surgical procedures.
- High-volume OR workflow experience
- Cardiovascular procedural experience
- Emergency/trauma OR experience
- Sterile technique and OR workflow proficiency
- Cardiovascular OR support skills
- Instrument handling and surgical setup
- Pediatric surgical support
- Rapid OR turnover management
