Position Overview:
SealingTech is seeking a Financial Manager specializing in Pricing and Estimating to join our growing team The Financial Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will play a key role in developing and maintaining pricing strategies for both Federal Government contracts and the commercial product market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government contracting requirements (FAR, DFARS, cost buildup, and indirect rate application) while also being able to strategize and execute pricing models for commercial sales.

This role requires a balance of technical pricing acumen, market insight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our products are competitively and profitably positioned across both markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitor pricing to inform both commercial and Federal pricing strategies.
  • Develop and implement pricing models that account for production costs, market demand, indirect rates, and competitive positioning.
  • Support proposal pricing for Federal contracts, including cost build-ups, price-to-win analysis, and compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, contracts, finance, and product development teams to gather input and provide pricing recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools, templates, and databases to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across business units.
  • Prepare and present pricing reports, analysis, and forecasts to leadership, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support business process improvements related to pricing governance, cost modeling, and product profitability analysis.
  • Assist in estimating new product lines, enhancements, or modifications by evaluating material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Manage pricing projects from initiation through execution, ensuring alignment with company strategy and compliance requirements.
  • Interface with several internal functional groups as well as outside vendors to gather data.
  • Stay current on industry trends, government policy updates, and commercial market dynamics to proactively adjust pricing strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, estimating, or financial analysis preferably within a government contracting. environment and/or product-based company.
  • Strong understanding of Federal pricing regulations, including FAR/DFARS and cost accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing cost structures, product lifecycle pricing, and margin optimization.
  • Experience with commercial product pricing, including cost-plus, value-based, and competitive pricing models.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting GSA schedules, IDIQs, or BOM-based proposals.
  • Ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and communicate strategic insights.
  • Proven success in developing pricing frameworks that bridge Federal and commercial business models.
