Temporary Mental Health Counselor

Location: West Linn, Oregon

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Monte Nido Portland, located in West Linn, OR, is a residential treatment program dedicated to supporting adults battling Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Our innovative treatment approach prioritizes restoring physiological and nutritional balance, establishing healthy eating and exercise habits, eliminating harmful behaviors, and fostering treatment engagement and motivation. We aim to empower each client to gain a comprehensive understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder, its impact on their life, and the personalized steps necessary for recovery.

We are excited to welcome a Temporary Mental Health Counselor to our diverse and multidisciplinary treatment team.

This temporary position is expected to last through April 2026.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy
  • Serving as a liaison with families and outpatient providers
  • Interacting with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
  • Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
  • Offering therapeutic meal support while embodying a healthy relationship with food
  • Delivering safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to each client's unique circumstances and identities

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in clinical counseling or a related discipline
  • State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
  • Experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is beneficial
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
