The Accounting Assistant will provide support to existing accounting staff;to reconcile and prepare quarterly payroll reports and forms, prepare client financial statements and to function as an internal auditor each month for all the processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Quarterly Payroll Reporting Reconciliation of the payroll processes and determination of the correct venues for taxes withheldReconciliation of tax payments and development of a quarter-end reportDetermine who is responsible for additional costs in the event of errors Prepare quarterly and annual tax forms Create and review W-2 forms. Respond to municipalities that may process tax notices Assist In General Ledger Accounting Assist and counsel clients to transfer all financial information to the company Reconcile client bank statements Respond to general financial questions the client may have
