Job Description/ Responsibilities
Client is seeking a Sr. Systems Operations Engineer to support the technology Digital Platform Engineering Group. This role will support the platform for ECM Center of Excellence delivery teams for production support and DevOPs of multiple critical applications.

In this role, you will:
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity especially for our content management platforms like Mobius, MARS, AXCIS, IBM FileNet, etc.
• Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area.
• Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems.
• Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements.
• Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives.
• Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supports deployments, troubleshooting and activities for ECM COE Mainframe applications
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software lifecycle.
• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor application and system performance and proactively address issues.
• Maintain configuration management and version control across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployments, builds, and system integrations.
Ensure security, scalability, and reliability across all DevOps processes.
Required Qualifications:
• 4 + years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (preferably Mainframe environment)
• 3 + years of experience working with an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Service Oriented Architecture Enablement or Mainframe applications
• 3+ years of code deployment, release management and communication within Mainframe environment
• 3+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with focus on Java based applications.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire ecosystem (i.e. applications to infrastructure), identifying root cause, fixing, and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures. Experience supporting technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of lead architects, including largescale data processing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Redhat OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with Git and branching strategies.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
