The Director of Medical Operations will supervise and mentor primary care providers (PCPs) within their center. This role is crucial for enhancing clinical quality, efficiency, patient outcomes, and satisfaction. Alongside these responsibilities, you will engage in direct patient care as a PCP, depending on the number of direct reports. The remaining time will focus on leadership initiatives, including optimizing PCP performance, engagement, and fostering a collaborative culture between clinical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver healthcare for both acute and chronic illnesses in older adult patients.
  • Take full responsibility for patient outcomes, collaborating with specialists as needed.
  • Engage with hospitalists for in-hospital patient care coordination.
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, education, and manage complex health needs.
  • Lead a care team that includes medical assistants, care facilitators, and coordinators.
  • Work with transitional care teams to support patients unable to visit the center.
  • Facilitate weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings while supporting center leadership.
  • Actively manage center operations and support recruitment efforts for patients and healthcare providers.
  • Mentor and coach PCPs, enhancing clinical outcomes through collaboration.
  • Partner with operations management to improve financial performance and increase patient membership.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar field required.
  • Current MD licensure is mandatory.
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting preferred.
  • Completion of ChenMed training, including Masterful Conversations and meeting facilitation.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Must maintain DEA certification for controlled substances.
  • BLS certification from an approved provider required within the first 90 days of employment.

Compensation:

Salary range: $231,876 - $331,251
