We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Manager who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Founded in 1916, Morton Plant Hospital was the first hospital built in northern Pinellas County. Known for advanced medical technologies, cutting-edge clinical research and outstanding patient care, Morton Plant Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in the field. The 599-bed facility provides highly technical and specialized care to more than 50,000 patients annually and works in more than 50 specialty areas. Morton Plant Hospital is on a continuous path of transformation to meet the future health care needs of the community.

Pharmacy Manager position details:

  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend Work: None
  • On Call: No

Pharmacy Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operational, financial, and clinical functions of the department of pharmacy.
  • Establishing and monitoring quality indicators, continuing the development and implementation of policies and procedures for new and existing pharmacy services, determining and deploying resources, and maintaining safe and effective departmental operations.
  • Duties include scheduling, recruitment, orientation, performance reviews and disciplinary action of pharmacy team members.

Education:

  • Required Bachelors Pharmacy Degree
  • Preferred Masters or Doctoral Pharmacy Degree

Credentials:

  • Required Pharmacist License - State of Florida
  • Preferred Consultant Pharmacist license
  • Preferred - ASHP (Pharmacists) - Accredited Program

Experience:

  • 1 year Management experience
  • 1 year Pharmacy experience
  • Preferred 3 years hospital related pharmacy experience
