Maintain and repair automated machinery and equipment such as CNC Machining Centers. Perform routine preventative maintenance as well as troubleshooting and repair of machine tools and related shop equipment. This position supports 1st and 2nd shift operations. Regular schedule is Monday - Friday is 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated and manual machinery and equipment. CNC Machining Centers, Mills, Lathes, Grinders Etc.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, servo systems, transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Repair Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical equipment throughout facility.
  • Monitor oil levels, clean coolers and drains in the air compressors; communicate with Maintenance Manager to schedule any contractor services required.
  • Maintain safety-related equipment and procedures.
  • Calculate supplies and materials as needed: pipe, wiring, conduit, etc. and submit purchase requisition to the manufacturing manager.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repair on material handling equipment. Forklifts, Pallet jacks, Hoists etc.
  • General facilities maintenance.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • CNC Machine Tool Maintenance and Repair
  • Excellent electronic and mechanical diagnostic abilities.
  • Knowledge of parametric programming and ladder logic.
  • General knowledge of Machine tools, Shop Equipment and terminology.
  • Maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • HVAC Maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and analyze mechanical assembly drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic Building Maintenance and Carpentry.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team when appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in CNC tool machine maintenance, electrical and mechanical.
  • PLC experience or programming logic a plus.
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work requires the use of PPE on the facility's production floor. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer's facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. Manufacturing facility is air-conditioned, temperature-controlled and we have an on-site cafe.
