Lead Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) to oversee and deliver complex electrification and power systems projects within the defense and offshore sectors. This leadership role involves managing all phases of project execution-from planning and engineering to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning-while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project success, maintaining strong client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Lead Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple large-scale electrification projects from order receipt through commissioning and closeout.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site activities, including oversight of subcontractors.
  • Ensure project scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are achieved or exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining transparent communication and building lasting relationships.
  • Manage and direct cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Conduct project and financial reviews, track milestones, and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, escalate issues when necessary, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, quality, and compliance standards throughout project lifecycles.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety within project teams.
Lead Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally within electrification, power systems, or industrial projects.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and customer-facing projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (ability to obtain security clearance preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
Lead Project Manager (Electrification & Power Conversion) Preferred Position Requirements
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP or similar software.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Background in marine, defense, or offshore industries.
  • Knowledge of power conversion technologies, drives, automation, and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, especially in communicating with executive stakeholders.
