Machine Operator - General Assembly
Location: Mentor, OH
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (480 hours)
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Machine Operators - General Assembly. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality industrial brushes using a combination of hand and machine-based techniques. If you have strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and enjoy hands-on work, this could be a great opportunity for you
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble industrial brushes by hand and using various machines.
- Operate a foot pedal to secure metal clamps.
- Attach wires to metal handles and twist them to secure the brush.
- Cut materials and secure brush components as needed.
- Record production numbers and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Strong motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Comfortable working with wire, metal, and hands-on assembly work.
- Ability to stand in place and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check (case-by-case consideration for felonies, excluding violent offenses).
- 1st Shift: 7:20 AM - 3:50 PM (Monday - Friday)
- Half-hour unpaid lunch.
- Medical insurance (80/20 coverage) after 90 days.
