Job Description

A Commercial HVAC Installer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and attention to detail. The installer will work with sheet metal, piping systems, and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, units, and thermostats, according to blueprints and technical diagrams.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking system pressure to ensure efficient operation.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in case of failure or breakdown.

• Ensure HVAC systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.

• Work with other professionals like electricians and plumbers during installation or maintenance work.

• Maintain records of all installation and repair work for future reference.

Essential Skills

• 1-5+ years of HVAC Install experience (Commercial or Residential)

• OSHA 10 / EPA Certification

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

• Proficiency in mechanical, refrigeration, boiler, duct work, and sheet metal

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
