Overview

What You Can Expect as a Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Care:

  • Working daily with a diverse caseload of patients with various levels of acuity in an acute care environment

  • Certification and shift differential available

  • Opportunities for career progression

  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree from an accredited speech therapy program.

  • Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy in state of practice.

  • Current CPR certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

  • One of the following:

  • Speech Language Pathologist Provisional Permit to practice in the state of IdahoOR

  • Speech Language Pathologist License to practice in the state of IdahoANDASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

  • Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of Acute care experience
