We're looking for a Planner / Buyer to support our growing co-packaging operations. This key role keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes - ensuring materials are in place, schedules are met, and production flows efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule materials to Analyze forecasts, customer orders, and production schedules to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.
  • Procure smartly by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing packaging materials, labels, components, and supplies to support customer programs.
  • Partner with suppliers by building strong vendor relationships and ensure quality, pricing, and delivery standards are consistently met.
  • Manage inventory by tracking usage, monitor stock levels, and maintain accurate inventory records to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
  • You will work closely with production, quality, and warehouse departments to align material flow with production needs.
  • Improve processes by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline purchasing and planning workflows.
  • Maintain ERP accuracy while updating system data for materials, lead times, and safety stock to ensure planning accuracy and timely reporting.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles - ideally within manufacturing or packaging environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Navision, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to interpret data, forecast needs, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supply chain certifications (APICS, CPIM, CPSM) a plus.
Work Environment:
  • Office and production floor setting within a co-packaging facility.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
