- Pay Rate: $75-85/hr
- Schedule/Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours/week; possible overtime)
- Extension/Conversion: Possibility of extension and conversion to full-time employment
The Business Analyst will support strategic finance initiatives within Global Banking and Markets by helping manage finance-related change for the Global Transactions Business (GTB). This role partners closely with Finance stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional groups to define current and future state processes, document business requirements, resolve complex accounting issues, and develop end-user computing and analytics solutions. The position offers exposure to a high-growth, multi-year initiative within a global capital markets environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team driving strategic change initiatives for Global Transactions Business Finance.
- Gather, analyze, and document current and future state business processes, including system flows and swim-lane diagrams.
- Translate business needs into clear, detailed written requirements and collaborate with technology partners through development, testing, and implementation.
- Perform forensic accounting analysis and complex problem-solving related to finance and accounting processes.
- Test accounting logic within Oracle ledger systems, including PeopleSoft, OFSAA, and FAH.
- Work closely with Finance IT to explain requirements and assess scalability of proposed solutions.
- Partner with users to define accounting requirements and design accounting flows.
- Document new requirements identified during testing and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with the Business Solutions & Initiatives (BSI) team to identify solutions and document system flows and requirements for program delivery.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including issue resolution, conflict management, and clear communication.
- Interact regularly with Finance management and the broader project team across regions and globally.
- Collaborate with teams outside Finance, including Global Enterprise Technology, Operations, Compliance, Liquidity, Risk, and other business functions, to strengthen data and process strategies.
- Develop user computing and data analytics solutions to support Finance stakeholders.
- Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive work environment through self-assessment, mentoring, and collaboration.
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- 8+ years of experience with current state analysis, system flow or swim-lane diagrams, and requirements documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ledger systems (PeopleSoft, OFSAA, FAH).
- 5+ years of experience with accounting methodologies within the banking industry.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI.
- Experience using MS Visio.
- Business analysis experience across both large-scale and small-scale initiatives within financial institutions, particularly Finance.
- Business analysis and requirements documentation

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
