JOB SUMMARY

Performing Digital 3D Mammography (screening or diagnostic) under the direct supervision of our radiologists to help in diagnosis and/or treatment for patient care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Produce high quality mammographic images
  • Knowledge of anatomy and proper terminology and positioning
  • Ability to work alongside with Radiologists to maintain quality control and proper guidelines
  • Ability to learn new protocols and equipment as needed
  • Follow appropriate policies and procedures given by ACR and State guidelines
  • Maintain proper documentation and terminology
  • Ability to input patient data into RIS, PACS, VSDM
  • Observes patient privacy policy and complies with HIPAA
  • Preforms routine cleaning of the work area and associated equipment, laundry, and stocking when needed
  • Ensures care and compassion with all patients
  • Willing to perform and or accept other duties that may be assigned
  • Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. We appreciate your flexibility and commitment to attending these sessions as necessary to support our team's goals and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years. Mammography certification of completion.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must hold a current ARRT certificate with mammography certification. Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Educations Credits each year for your certifications. Continuing education in accordance of the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
